RAMS FALL TO LIONS IN EUREKA

EUREKA, MT - Visiting south of the border for the second time in 10 days, the Rocky Mountain Rams dropped a 32-0 contest to the Lincoln County JV Lions Saturday night in Eureka.

The Lions jumped out to an early first quarter lead by taking advantage of short fields after a pair of Rams turnovers. The Rams would battle back and put together a pair of drives into Lions territory, but failed to hit the scoreboard. As the game clock neared halftime the Lions connected on a 35-yard pass play down the sideline to take a 20-0 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Rams defence again proved tough limiting the Lions offence to just 12 points and coming up with a number of tackles for loss and a fumble. However, the pressure caused by the Lincoln County defensive front stalled out any promising Rams' drives and kept the visiting offence in check for the shutout.

It was the third time the Cranbrook based squad has traveled across the line into Montana to take on the Lions. This fall's loss marked the closest margin of defeat to the perennially strong team from Lincoln County.

The Rams head back to Bonners Ferry, Idaho on October 17 for a rematch of their season-opener which the Badgers took 40-0.
