RMR Football is excited to continue its partnership with the NFL/NFL Canada to bring NFL Flag Football to the region with our third fall season of the Kootenay Football League!

Kootenay Football League NFL FLAG - SPRING 2026 Information

Who: Current grade 4-9 students in two divisions (Gr. 4-6 / Gr. 7-9 (CBK Gr. 7-8))​

Dates/Times:

Practices will be 1-2 days per week and will be determined by local coaches. Changes may occur if a different date and time serves better in a particular location. Once coaches are registered and availability is confirmed, we will post the practice days.

Current game weekends/mini tourneys are being finalized for four Sundays in May/June (no long weekend games). Their locations will be determined based on teams registered. The first 3 weekends will be played regionally (East/West) where possible. See below for more information on the end of season event, the Kootenay Bowl.

Depending on team makeup and availability, a 4th gameday may be played prior to the Kootenay Bowl.

Cost:
Includes NFL Flag Jersey, shorts, flags, ball, insurance, and covers all tournament fees. ​-

2026 Kootenay Bowl - June 20-21
Plans are in place to run our Kootenay Bowl the weekend of June 20-21 in conjunction with the Spirit of the Rockies Festival in Cranbrook. There will be an opportunity to showcase the flag league to a large audience in town and to participate in events like the festival parade. More details will be confirmed regarding a one or two day event as we know how many teams are participating.
