CRANBROOK - The Rocky Mountain Rams found one more opportunity to gather together, concluding its 2024 season by handing out some hardware at Rams Recognition Night.
Junior defensive end/tackle Ole Krueger took home Most Outstanding Player honours for the Rams after being a defensive force this season. Krueger lined up at defensive end where he recorded multiple sacks and tackles for loss for the Rams. On offence, Krueger played tackle along the offensive line, rarely coming off the field.

Sophomore running back Medeas Brunham was recognized as the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year. Brunham was a guaranteed positive gainer up the middle, taking multiple defenders to bring him down. Medeas set up a key Rams touchdown in Creston with a 95 yard rumble while playing defence.
The team's Defensive Player of the Year went to sophomore Josh Salomons. A rookie in 2024, Salomons stepped in to play linebacker in addition to running back. Salomons racked up a pair of tackles for loss and was a steady presence in pass coverage.
Junior Nate Morrison was the recipient of the prestigious "We Not Me" Coaches Award for 2024. A quiet veteran who leads be example, Morrison stepped into the quarterback role and guided the offence throughout the season. Morrison kept his cool demeanour despite facing some pressure filled defences and continued to show how to do the right things the Ram way!
Rounding out the awards was Luke MacSteven. The sophomore from Invermere was named the 2024 Rookie of the Year. MacSteven instantly connected with his teammates and showed great progression throughout the season along the offensive and defensive lines. His love for the game was evident as he committed to every practice throughout the season despite travelling in from Invermere.
In addition to the award winners, the Rams also honoured its lone senior who will graduate this spring. Elizabeth McLeod played four seasons for the Rams. A captain, former award winner, and diehard football player, there was no challenge Eli would say no to on the field. Battling through injury in her junior year and a challenging senior year schedule, McLeod persevered and often impressed opposing coaches with her toughness, leadership and play.
The Rams will reconvene with sessions over the winter and spring before returning to the field for the 2025 season in August.
