2026 Offseason Team Activities
Please note, it is our expectation that all returning players attend all Sunday evening offseason sessions at the Dome.
Over the course of the winter months, we will meet for some skills sessions at the New Dawn Place Dome in Cranbrook. The dates and times are below. We are trying to work around holidays and may adjust later dates if necessary.
The purpose of these sessions is to keep our team connected, get needed individual reps, improve team cohesion on both sides of the ball, and to recruit and integrate new players into our program. We also use these sessions to integrate new players into the team earlier in the year.
We understand that the kids are likely involved in other activities. We have chosen the dates and times to best avoid conflicts. There is no charge for these sessions and we strongly encourage the kids (and parents) to invite anyone they think may be interested. They will be different in the past when we have tried to do flag football or conditioning. It will be more similar to in-season practices.
These sessions will not require any gear. Athletic wear and water is all that is required.
*For our out-of-CBK/KIM kids, we will connect with you regarding attendance for these sessions.

2026 Offseason Strength Training
As we did last offseason, we will be using the Teambuildr App again for offseason workouts. We hope to improve in our communication and tracking this season and hope the guys will be fully engaged.
We are still searching for a venue that we can have some larger team lifts in this offseason as working together provides so many benefits. We know kids are living in different places and use different facilities, so we will have to work remotely for now.
Our expectation for athletes not competing in other sports from January to April is that they are getting three lifts per week. For athletes competing, we will have tailored adjustments for a minimum once a week regimen. We will have more information on this piece later this month, but wanted to give you a heads up.

2025 FALL INFO
Tackle Football returns this August! Please note this program runs out of Cranbrook but is open to any players in the Kootenay region willing to commit to practices and games.
-
Who: Grade 9-12 students
-
Dates/Times: See schedule below
-
Equipment: Cleats (preferred) or athletic footwear, mouthguard, girdle
-
Cost: $375
-
REGISTRATION: OPEN HERE

All protective gear is provided, except for mouthguards and girdles. In 2025, we are moving to player supplied girdles to ensure better fit and cleanliness. We will have a team order in early August and can loan old girdles in the meantime. Players should ensure they have proper footwear (preferably cleats) and clothing to wear under their equipment. Equipment sizes are available on a FCFS basis for new players. Returning players will have their gear available from previous seasons.

PRACTICE ATTENDANCE:
The practice schedule may seem demanding...In addition to teaching safe contact for blocking and tackling, football requires commitment different than a lot of other activities. In order to be both safe and successful, we need players at all practices this fall. Our coaches cannot properly prepare a team when attendance is selective on a daily basis. In short, unless we have previously worked out a schedule for multi-sport athletes, attendance is mandatory!

We understand players may have other commitments and we ask that those be clearly communicated at the start of the season and when an absence may occur.

We will do our best to work around other fall sport schedules to accommodate as many kids as possible and allow them to be multi-sport athletes.
